Framing all kinds of objects.
You can have all kinds of things framed, not just prints and paintings. We can frame just about anything! The right style of framing can give a special 'museum feel' to any precious or valuable piece.
In the past we've framed tapestries, needlepoints, medals and memorabillia, coins, souvenirs, sports jumpers, cricket bats, old weapons, maps, ballet shoes, records and CDs, all kinds of awards and certificates, musical instruments, pockets off an old school blazer, pocket watches, charm bracelets, somebody's butterfly collection, ceramic sculptures and masks from Venice, Bali and Africa.
If it can be framed or mounted then we've probably done it.
On the left are photos of a recent project: a collection of old cabinet keys and clock keys that had been collected over many years and the current owner wanted to get them out of the drawer and out on display where they could be appreciated.
Firstly some of the "newer" keys were carefully aged and polished using bronze and silver gilt creams. The keys were then affixed to a conservation quality board using a strong but removable silicon fixative. Finally the mounted collection was placed into a double frame; an ornate silver frame with a rubbed timber inner frame used to create a box.
Talk to us if you have a collection that needs to be seen.
