The last remaining bronze Art Deco dancers.
Demetre Chiparus (1886-1947) was the best known European sculptor of the 1920s and regarded as the master of Art Deco era bronzes. He was born in Romania, studied first in Italy and then at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. His most famous works were inspired by the exotic dancers of the French Theatre, the Ballet Russe, the fashions of the famous Parisian salons and the stars and dancers of the music halls and early motion pictures.
We have several wonderful bronze reproductions of some of Chiparus' better known pieces. Each piece is individually made with attention to detail and no two figures are the same.
Our Art Deco statues range from $580 - $1980
We also have a few bronze buddahs remaining (these were hand-picked by ourselves during our travels to Asia) as well as a other decorator items such as the bronze urn (pictured here).
Bronze 'Serpent' Urn 400mm high = $379
Bronze Seated Buddah (shown on the left) 270mm high = $245
